Gnome shell extension: new video shows-off the beast within

There has been many gnome shell reviews lately, both positively and negatively. Some are worried about lost functionality and less configuration options. But gnome shell really pack a nice array of ‘not so widely discussed’ real capabilities which could make all these skeptics happy. One of these is the extension framework which could really make the gnome shell an awesome piece of software. How to adjust the pointer speed and touch-pad/mouse settings in ubuntu

After a fresh installation/up-gradation of Ubuntu, many users find themselves wondering what happened to their touch-pad/mouse? I am one of those users who, before each upgrade, spends time wondering what next could happen to my touch-pad. My prime concern is the slow pointer speed. How to get the ‘wingpanel’ in ubuntu with the current gnome panel

Many users are excited about the idea of the new ‘wingpanel‘, a floating, panel-replacement which floats at the top right hand corner of the screen and holds the indicator applets, application indicators and session indicators. It saves the vertical space by floating but still be visible at all the time. The best part is the top right hand corner at least in ubuntu is one of the least used space and thus an excellent choice, location-wise, in my humble opinion.
